The Prodex PX5706W is an Evaporative Air Cooler that works by pulling air through the back of the unit through wet pads that add water vapour to cool the air as it's blown out through the fan at the front. Unlike an air conditioner, air coolers do not need to be vented through a wall or window, and simply need to be plugged in. The Air Cooler can also be used as a fan independantly without the use of water vapour if the room is cool enough for air to be circulated. The unit include a wide angle internal oscillation which helps to distribute the cool air throughout the room.
