Aquatics Australia has a long history of excellence in the pool, they won the lion’s share of the events including a new world record in the women’s 4X100m Freestyle relay. A decent showing from the ‘home’ nations in several events made for good British interest – England having picked up 9 swimming gold medals, including a gold and two silvers for breaststroke superstar Adam Peaty.
